Supporting Scripture: 1 Timothy 2:1 (KJV) - "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men."
James 5:16 instructs us to "pray one for another." Intercessory prayer is a vital component of the Christian life. It is our opportunity to stand in the gap for others, lifting their needs, concerns, and burdens before God. Intercession reflects the heart of Jesus, who continually intercedes for us at the right hand of the Father (Hebrews 7:25). When we intercede, we participate in the spiritual battle on behalf of others, whether for healing, salvation, provision, or protection. Through intercession, we demonstrate the love and compassion of Christ and become instruments of His grace and power in the lives of others.
