Redeemed! It's a "church word" which we often say without giving much thought to it. However, let's take a moment and really unpack what it means for the believer. Being "redeemed" refers to the price that Jesus paid on Calvary so we could be reconciled back to God. It was a HUGE price! Jesus gave his very life for you and for me. As you and I know, the price paid for something is in direct correlation to the perceived value of the item it is associated with. You are so valuable, the highest price of all was paid for you. This is more than any diamond could every sell for and larger than any real estate deal. Look yourself in the mirror and say I am so valuable! It's unfortunate if others can't see it. However, that doesn't change the valuation. The creator of the item determines the value, because they know what the components are. God created you and everything He creates is amazing. Not only did He create you, but He loves you so much.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Move forward in the peace, assurance, encouragement, and strength that comes with knowing we are REDEEMED!
